Default Please Help me identify the 2020 Silverado Truck model

Hello

I need some help in identifying the 2020 Chevy Silverado model which fled the scene after backing into my vehicle causing $2700 in damages. I got the licence plate of the truck and online it shows up as 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - LTZ Crew Cab 2WD.

Long story shot truck owners insurance denied the claim and told me that the truck does not have the 4x4 emblem and the truck owner has now reported the license plate as stolen now. How does stolen license plate end up on a similar truck but just without the 4x4 emblem?

I would appreciate if you guys can help in identifying the model or anything you notice. Thank You

Edit: I just noticed I submitted the thread in 2014-2018 forum can someone please move it to 2019+ forum thanks

Sounds like you need to get local law enforcement involved. Did you see the truck hit you? More details would be appreciated. My son had his plate lifted and started getting toll bills in the mail before he realized it was gone.

Do you have the owners address? You can go by there and see if it looks like there are any signs that an emblem was removed. i would definitely get your local law enforcement involved. You have pictures of the truck sitting there, but do they have any pictures of someone getting in it and driving away?

I have the video of the incident occurring and we went outside and noted down his plates before he fled. I don't have his info other than the license plate which I gave to police/my insurance and his.

The police didn't do nothing he didn't even see the video from my store or pulled the license plate on his computer.

You can actually see his face so if I can find out his address/name I can search him on fb and verify if its the same guy on video.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Since insurance says stolen plate, time to discuss that again with police as well. They should be willing to review video to look at driver's face and then visit home the plate is registered to - not that much leg work on their part, and better than you doing it and getting in to some type of altercation. Good luck & please keep us posted. Maybe your insurance can help as well in locating truck owner? Seems to me if the plate was taken, the legit owner would be more than happy to get this cleared up. I think I smell 3 day old fish here IMO. Police should also be able to look drivers license pic of registered owner to see if matches the video.
