Default Service 4wd, service stabilitrack, reduced steering assist

I have a 2014 Silverado z71 with 108,xxx miles, rarely do I use my 4wd but when I do it’s there. Got a message today saying service 4wd, stabilitrack and reduced steering assist. After that my 4wd switch only lights up on auto 4wd and my headlights and dash lights are flickering and it’s very tough to steer. Looks like it’s something going on with the electrical system but I’m not sure. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the exact same issue I had with a 2017 Silverado except mine would also sometimes not start. I discovered quite by accident that if I slammed the drivers door it would start but continue giving all those same messages. Had it to the dealer a half dozen times in 6 months. They replaced the main wiring harness, checked battery and alternator to no avail. I drove it to work one morning in snow, put it in 4 wheel drive and the drivers power seat slid backwards and the drivers side rearview mirror was moving by itself. I got rid of it. Hope you find your problem.

Had a similar problem with slightly different symptoms. It was a a wet very greasy mountain short cut. When I got back to gravel road it was OK. Never before and never again, seemed like a loose wire or connection ???

I have a similar issue with my 2016. Stuck in 4wd, with the ligh on for auto only, and the service 4wd message. I pulled the 4wd fuse to get it into 2wd. Hope its a quick fix at a dealer.

I also have a 2014 with 107,xxx miles and just started having the same problem. When it does happen my locks lock and unlock, and the transmission falls out of gear.
did you ever find out what the problem is?
