I’ve had the stabiltrek warning flash a couple times in the past few months. Took it to my normal guy and they weren’t sure what was causing it.

Today it went off in my parking garage and I lost control of the truck. Steering corrected to straight as I was going around a corner, almost causing me to crash into a parked car. Slammed on the brakes and had no power to the gas pedal. Restarted my truck and had no problems. I’ve only had this issue of losing control of the truck while turning at low speeds.

I would really rather avoid going to the dealership, as I’ve had poor experiences with my local one and their service manager. Hoping I might be able to narrow the issue down. Any ideas?

Many things can cause the light. you have to scan it with a professional diagnostic tool to see what the fault is.
And competent independent shop should be able to do that for you.
