Default Tight steering

2018 Chevy Silverado 3500 Ltz
Recently got pitman arm and idler replaced with an alignment completed.
found steering to be pretty tight and steering wheel won’t return to center. Can feel alittle binding when turning all the way. Everything has been greased.
All ball joints and tie rods are good. Prior to having replaced had significant play in wheel.
mechanic said this is normal and will loosen in time.
Used all ac delco parts. Any thoughts on what’s causing this? She has 190,000 on her. But not quite believing this mechanic.

It'll loosen up. You need to give it some time to do so.

Ran it by the dealer this morning. The shop that did the repair used the wrong pitman arm. They aren’t even sure how they managed to get this one properly in place.

You need to find a better dealer. Had an accident occurred, you would be within your rights to sue them.
