Default Vinyl seats in serious cold?

How are the newer vinyl truck seats holding up in -30 to -50 temps? My truck will stay outside year round and I have never owned a vinyl-seated truck before; always cloth, or leather. Thanks for sharing any experiences.

Sounds like Alaska. I'd strongly recommend seat covers. Even if the vinyl holds up, your backside won't. Sheep skin is exspensive, but that's what I'd go with in your environment.

SEAT COVERS? What do you think I am? A candy a$$ or something? Yes, I'm in the dead center of Alaska, and I never get into a frozen truck without at least 3 layers of clothing on. (Yes, candy.....) Ironically, the only time I've screamed getting into a truck here was when I had an LT2 (?) with leather seats on a rare 90 degree, sunny day with the windows up and no shirt on. I learned quickly. Thanks for the opinion. john
