2.71 turbo rattle/rumble under light acceleration
Picked up a 24 custom about 3 months ago, truck runs great but does have a loud rumble / rattle under light acceleration. When you increase throttle and rpm's slightly jump the sounds goes away completely. Sounds as if it's coming from in front of the passenger side.
Does this sound normal?

We bought it as a new demo with 3,800 miles in February 2022. It had the same sound from the day we bought it. I thought it was the common "adaptive exhaust valve" rattle in the exhaust but as it turns out it was coming from the turbo (the 2.7L TurboMax doesn't have the exhaust valve rattle but the V8 models do). If you have the 2.7L TurboMax, I would take it to the dealer and have them look at the turbo.
We just got out truck back over the weekend after a complete top end rebuild and new turbo due to "active fuel management cam and lifter failure" (has 111,000 miles). Now, it's completely dead in the driveway, a couple hundred miles later and a trip back to the dealership when the check engine light came back on this morning.
