8 Speed
This has happened Twice.
Normal driving, truck all of a sudden shutters, like I hit something and simultaneously engine light comes on, engine revs and transmission seems stuck and won’t switch gears as normal. I have to manually shift in “L Mode” with L1-8 gear shifting..After resting truck, turning it off and on several times, engine light stays off and transmission resumes normal function in Drive……1st time I had error code of Transmission Fault Code to Module…..any thoughts?

 

They have been having a lot of problems with the 5.3 8 speed, no problems with the 5.3 6 speed as far as I know. Take it in to get fixed before your warranty runs out.
