2024 custom 2.7L cruise drops off on hills
Over the past weekend drove from Vegas to Phoenix back same day. While in cruise set at 75 or 80 and starting up hills, at approx. 2500 to 3K tach cruise would just disengage. Did it several times both ways. Took to dealer and he said it's in the manual that you have to apply throttle to maintain speed on hills. I think that's total bull****. I've owned and driven hundreds of cars and trucks and never had this happen. Anyone else deal with this crap?
At first I thought the dealership was giving you a line of BS, but when I downloaded the Owner's Manual it states on Page 249 when going up a hill the driver may have to apply the accelerator pedal in order to maintain speed.
However, it says nothing about cruise control disengaging when going up a hill.
I would have the dealership show you where it says in the Owner's Manual that the cruise control might disengage while going up a hill. If they cannot, then tell them to fix it. If they say they cannot, then give Chevrolet Customer Assistance a call and complain. Or, find another dealership.
Good Luck!
