I have my eye on a 2021 Trail Boss 2LT crewcab, well equipped with the 6.2L, Multi Flex tailgate, leather, 18" mud tires, and safety package. MSRP is exactly $60K. Between customer cash and GMS pricing, price before TTL is around $50K. How does this pricing stack up over previous incentive programs over the last few months? Is it a good buy?
I also had my eye on a 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 crewcab with a AT4 with the 3.0 duramax diesel, AT4 value package, tech package, driver alert pkg, 20" all terrain tires and sunroof. MSRP is $63900 with about $11K off (around $53K before TTL).
Which truck would you choose base on engine choice and options? It will be a daily driver for me but will also be use to pull a a couple of small trailers and possibly a future small boat.
I'm shopping for a Silverado myself. I have to say that many of the threads I see are about people reporting issues with their trucks. Some of those issues are pretty nasty. That being said, a $11K discount off MSRP seems pretty good in these times of scarcity. I wish I could get a deal like that. Prior to the pandemic, I think that was the norm.
Having a loaded 2021 Trail Boss with 6.2, go with diesel or wait until Chevy solves their engine problems. 20,000 miles - on my second engine rebuild. Next time they will have to buy back. Truck has been at dealership for 25% of the time of ownership.
Thanks for bringing this up. I ended up passing on the Silverado all together, because of this exact issue. I read about some issues with the diesel as well, so I went with something else.
