Default Magic Button

Had something happen this morning that concerns me. While pulling away from a stop light, I reached down to scratch my knee and bumped the magic button. (Start/Stop) The truck went dead. In gear and rolling. Being a PLC programmer I would have thought there would have been code to keep this from happening if vehicle in gear and or moving. I'm my mind this is a serious safety issue. This is a 2022 Chevy 2500HD Duramax

Seems to me that there needs to be a way to shut a vehicle off , no matter what it's doing, for safety reasons.

It has always possible to shut off a vehicle while moving.

Just be careful not to hit the button. 🤷‍♂️
