Major oil leak
I have a 2019 Silverado 1500 with the 4.2L 100,600 miles. I was driving home from work when the information screen said I had lost oil pressure and to shut down engine immediately. I pulled off the road and killed the motor asap. I pulled the dipstick and it had no oil, looked under the truck and there was oil everywhere. Anyone had something similar happen?
I had the transmission replaced 10 days ago could that have something to do with this?

Welcome from Florida. I had something similar happen a few years ago. I had my oil changed by a shop and it turned out that they over tightened the oil filter and cracked the case. As I was driving the crack got bigger and bigger until oil was flowing out of it. A good clean up and a new oil filter fixed my problem. Check your oil filter for cracks and also if it is tight and only has one rubber oil seal.
If the transmission was pulled and replaced, there is a high chance something was disturbed on the engine. The advice above is good. Obviously you've had the vehicle towed by now. Hope you figure it out!
Changing out the transmission involves unbolting it completely from the engine, wiring harness, etc, and often involves disconnecting engine mounts and such to be able to shift things and get to all the bolts. Sometimes the engine and transmission are pulled from a vehicle first, then separated. Even if done completely in place, close proximity to the oil pan, oil filter and other components mean something could have been disturbed. The oil cooler lines, if so equiped, that someone else mentioned, could easily have been disturbed or damaged or not tightened fully.
That makes sense the only thing I wasn’t sure about was that I drove the truck for 10 days before this happened.
I put more oil in the truck and cranked it up to see if I could tell where the leak is. I could tell is it’s leaking from the front part of the motor really hard to see anything without it being on a lift.
Thanks for your input.
