Default Rattle from back Passenger Side of my 2024 Silverado

I have a 2024 SIlverado ZR2 and when i go over a speed bump or certain types of bumps in the road it sounds like my headliner is loose or something is rattling behind the passanger side back seat. Has anyone else come across this issue?

Welcome from Florida. Sounds like you need to take it to the dealership.

The rattle in mine is the back seat. The zippers that hold the seat cover on were bouncing around on the steel frame. I tucked them in different to stop it. Now there is something else in there or my foam came of so I am going to try and unzip so I can look in there and put some foam on whatever it is. It is really bad when the seat is up.

do you have leather or cloth? I have leather (first vehicle with leather) and assume covers aren’t used for leather?

Leather interior. Just put the seat in the up position and you can see the zippers on each side. There was about 4-6 inches of extra zipper at the bottom tucked in and the ends were bouncing on the metal seat frame.

After driving home with the rear passengers seat in the up position and hearing the clinking metal to metal all the way home for 40 minutes worse that it has ever been, I dug into my rear seat this weekend and couldn't believe what I found in there. I put the seat in the up position, unzipped the 2 zippers on each side and then slid the bottom of the seat cover to the side and off of the plastic retainer so I could fold it up out of the way and see the underside of the seat. There were 2 seat springs that ran from front to back and they were about 1 inch below the seat cushion and completely lose with the ability to bounce around metal and metal clinking sound where they connected at the front and back. It is like something so heavy was put in the seat and bent those springs down so far they stayed that way. I have only had kids and my mother sit back there, maybe 120lbs at the most. Each side of the spring has an L bend that goes into the seat frame to hold it, it was super easy to take them out in the lose state. After I had the springs out, I bent them the opposite way so they had some pressure against the seat cushion and re-installed. It took some effort to get it back in which is a good thing, nice and tight now. I have no idea why those springs would have been bent down so far. The noise was really only super bad when I had the seat in the up position. I put everything back together and made sure to tuck the zipper ends in really well because those can make an irritating noise as well bouncing metal on metal. Everything is great now.
