Default Running/parking lights

This is just an observation....as I drive around, it seems that a large number of newer Silverado pickups have a burned out running/parking light on one side. Is Chevy using some cheap bulbs, or is there a wiring issue in these newer trucks? I suppose it's no big deal if the headlights still work, but if a person is going to pay 10's of thousands for a new truck, I would think that the bulbs should last more than a few months, or couple of years.

This ain't the 1990s anymore. lots of junk is made in Asia or Mexico. By ALL automakers, not only GM/Chevy.
