Default 95 astro cl starts then stops

O.K. I guess its my turn to ask questions. For the past 6 months my van is getting harder to start. Turn the key and will just turn and turn, shut the key off and try again and this time it will start and quit again. If I do this enough times it will eventually start. Checked the dist., and coil, no problem there, checked the fuel pressure at 55psi. When its running, it runs great, and when I turn it off for awhile ( a couple of hours ) it will restart What do you folks think.

I guess it was the fuel pump getting weak. Had it replaced at the dealership with a lifetime warranted one. Runs great now.

Interesting. So it never stalled when running?

Did you give it a chance to prime before starting?

Yes I did let the pump run and then stop ( about 3 sec. ) but the crank time was excessive, on warm days it started better. The pump pressure according to my gage was around 52 psi. It got to where I had to use starting fluid to get it to start. It did run fine at all speeds once started.
