I have a 99 Chevy Astro van and sometimes it won't start. It rolls over and seems to fire but then it doesn't start. When it doesn't start the power is still on so im not thinking electrical. After trying to start it several times I stop and let it sit for a few. then try to start it again and it usually fires back up.... trying to figure out what the problem is before it dies and don't start back up and get stranded. If any one has any ideas please let me know!

It's kind of hard to tell without knowing the maintenance history and driving habits. When was the fuel filter replaced last time? Air filter? Do you use fuel system cleaners like Techron on a regular basis?

 

Sounds like a lack of fuel. check fuel pressure, it may need a filter.
