can i use trans from 95 astro in a 96? whats the diff betwen the 2?

No difference. Both should be the same transmission (4L60E). The 1995 Astro was the first year model to receive the electronically controlled 4L60 and it continued to be the primary transmission until the phaseout of the Astro model.

the tranny frrom the 95 has old style linkage hook up the 96 has cable type should be able just switch those out? another boy said the 95 was a 700r this is first trans job done for self in over 20 yrs bk then they were all 350 or 350 turbo lol. thx for ur post kinda ironic though im mark evans

4L60E, its just like the olden days, only that there will be an electronic connection where the vacuum modulators used to be but it will come back to you.
