EGR valve?
96 astro - Hard starting when its warm..this problem just started randomly one day. It always starts but it turns over longer than it should. I was thinking its the EGR valve but some input would be helpful. 174k on it, good oil pressure, newer fuel pump. The van runs really well. I just replaced the fuel injectors on it also. There is no SES light coming on(and yea it does light up when the key is on) Thoughts and ideas appreciated

If the EGR valve was stuck open then the van would not idle or would idle rough. Also when EGR is work correctly it is not open at idle or full throttle. EGR will not cause a starting problem. I think you need to look into a fuel pressure problem
Im not sure what kind of fuel pump it is, it was bought from carquest. I didnt mean replace the EGR valve, i meant to clean it. I know these things are tempermental and sometimes need to be cleaned periodically. Its not a huge concern of mine. I think Ill try the plugs/wires and cap/rotor. I happen to have all new ones on another van that is parts now.
