Default Help Astro Van

Hey all. I have a 97 astro with a am fm cd head unit and a slave cassette. we have no sound when we put in a cassette. the head unit sees the cassette player even works it all buttons and such.. but there is no sound when we put in a cassette. once ejected the radio cd are fine. If anyone knows what to try please let me know.. Thanks

output side of the cassettes mother board??/ maybe a diode on that same output circuit??/

you can locate the speaker wires leading out of the divorced unit and add a temporary unit (portable cassette, radio ect)that you know has audio output 6 or 8 0hm and test lead into that units speaker circuit into your vans speaker circuit right at the plug(AT YOUR CASSETTE)the audio might be week depending on how big the system in your van is??/ if there is no audio then the problem in the cassette unit!!but at lest you isolated it!!
