where to put subs?

I would recrommend putting it under your back seat of your truck. I installed a sub in the back of a front seat and it's too much of a hassel, if you blow a sub you would have to take the seat apart to get the sub out. Then you would have to repair the seat because the seat would break depending on how many Watts your using in your truck. You wanna get a box that goes under your backseat, that's the best way to go and the easiest way to fix the box or Sub if you break it. I'm going to put a box under my back seat of my 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, it'll workout the best.

There are also pre-packaged subs like the infinity basslink and similar that you can store under the front/rear seat if enough space allows so. They actually sound pretty decent if you just want a little low end.

I have taken out my backseat to fit my subs in. i have a 1995 silverado ext. cab maybe the reason your seat wont raise is, there are braided cables that when you pull the lever it pulls 2 levers on either side of the seat, maybe one or both of these has come unconnected? i can upload some pictures tomorrow. It is to dark to take a picture atm.

I'm having the same issue with "where to put subs". I was thinking instead of a box to get a bass tube that way I wouldn't have to remove jack and tools from under seat. Will a bass tube deliver adequate sound. Thanx

I wouldn't advise to hook it up to the factory amp if you want more bass hitting. I would get a 800-1000 watt amp for the subs. But thats what i thank, its all up to you. If you want more bass get a aftermarket amp
