Default '04 Avalancvhe Brake issue

Have an issue that when braking, almost at a stop, the vehicle pulls slightly to the left. No pulsing, it just pulls left a bit, but because going so slow at that point it is hardly noticeable. Just noticed last night that when it happens there is also an instantaneous dimming of the dash lighting, more specifically the odometer readout or whatever is then showing on that line. Not sure if the generally backlighting of the dash lights is dimming or not.
Any suggestions welcome, For the record, there is no pulsing of the brake pedal or anything that would indicate a ABS system malfunction. I had the yellow ABS and red brake light come on twice several weeks ago, but went off after restarting the vehicle.
Again, all comments/suggestions are welcome.

Take the front wheels off and do a visual inspection of the brakes.
