I have 120K miles on a 2005 Chevy Avalanche that was just given a RIP notice for the engine. I've had timely oil changes and maintenance. Been having DEX Cool issues for about a month. Is that class action lawsuit still going on? ...and has anyone experienced the same thing? Suggestions?

$43K truck with a bad engine (2 cracked cylinder heads). Dang! I was about to put these new wheels on it too.

What do mean by dex-cool issues?

 

The Dex-cool would constantly run out. It had to be replaced every couple of days. The coolant system was pressure tested and I didn't have any leaks. The thermostat was also fine.

Dex-cool would flow to the engine to cool the engine off.
