well, pulling intake to clean out the oil pressure sensor, yet again. Upon tear down I found mixed oil/coolant inside the throttle body, (vacuum line from p/s valve cover). it’s at an early stage as I just did a service 200 miles ago, and found no signs of coolant in oil pan, and I also have no oil inside coolant reservoir, my guess is a cracked p/s head, and coolant is getting sucked up through this vacuum line feeding back into the intake. Ide like to read your thoughts on this, thanks in advanced
Afternoon everybody, this is a new question on an existing case, installing melling high pressure pump, also wanted to clean out the oil pressure sensor, so I removed the intake, upon removal I found a whole lot of oil passing through the “PCV” valve(it’s not even a valve, it does literally nothing) it’s integrated into the left side valve cover first of all, and there no check valve there’s no restrictor there’s nothing it’s just a piece of aluminum union between the hose and valve cover. and the vacuum from the motor pulls that pressure back into the intake? I’m confused on this process. I need some insight. Regardless of GMs flawless oil feed system. Here’s my main question as I am done ranting,
1. Why do I have a half pint of oil in my air plenum?
also there is another vacuum line running from the right side valve cover, probably another “PCV” valve. Because this one is not only passing a **** load of oil, it’s also passing what looks like some coolant as well( posted on another thread) below are the pictures of my plenum)
