Default 5.3l 't' vin 2002 avalanche knock sensor

Question about sensor two hole socket. So there are two sensors, the one closest to the throttle body is number one and I see a lot about water causing damage and tricks to minimize water damage with sensor one and if I pour water in the hole it would fill up like a glass.

So my question is on the sensor two hole. I can see right through the bottom around the edges so I pour in water its going to go right down. I see something like the cam down there. Is that normal for the bottom of sensor two hole? or is something missing around the bottom of the hole like a seal?

Default Solved myself

I found it is a valley pan gasket kit that includes the grommets; I'm missing one on the sensor two port. Got it from summit racing. So if your grommets gone bad or leaking this is the thing you need.
