Default Avalanche with tail light problem

I have a 2002 and the drivers side rear tail lights dont work, the brake lights work, the turn signal works and the fuse is fine. I have replaced the bulbs with the right replacement bulbs but still no lights. I am only reading 10 volts to the socket and the passanger side reads 13 volts. any suggestions as to what my problem is and how to make my lights work

sounds like u may have to replace the socket on that side just make sure if u do it yourself that you make it watertight.

sorry dude, i forget.. does the avalanche have circuit board by the taillights or separate socket? .. if it's circuit boards, try switching left to right..
also check for voltage at the socket but using a different ground and not the one in the socket, cause you could have a bad ground
