If you have the Tow/ Haul mode button on your truck try using it, it will give you the firmer shifts

The mileage thing with the tow/haul button is a matter of opinion. Some people swear they get better fuel mileage. I tried it last night, first time to really use the tow/haul button with a empty truck, my mileage suffered, but it ran like a Hoss. Defianetly felt faster.

Not so for me, when in city traffic I use the tow/haul mode and MPG is better when you allow the transmission to slip (non tow mode) it makes the ride smoother but hits the mpg just a tiny bit, having it shift and lock in helps the mpg but harshes the ride...

most of my driving is hwy. a harsh ride dont bother me. i like lots of HP, hard shifts and power out of the hole... but these new computer crap limits that. the only reason i got the truck was the fact it had a lot of storage and locking bed cover. i shud have kept my 06 ford F-250 super duty diesel. that truck rocked but diesel prices got and is out of control.
