Just want to share my problems.
Transfer case not bad just had to pump the fluid in.Old fluid was dark but not too black.New is a nice blue color.It smells nothing like transmission fluid so everyone don't use transmission fluid,go to the dealer and get the GM auto trak 11 fluid it only uses 1.8 quarts.

Transmission was a P.I.T.A.
couldn't get the shift bracket off.Had to remove the front driveshaft at the front diff. push it up as far as I could in order to bend the bracket far enough to get the pan off. This took a long time to figure out.
I also installed a drain plug you buy at the auto parts stores,the GM drain plug can't be removed.Next time just a drain and refill.
I used Max Life for the transmission.
