So yesterday the strangest thing happened to my truck. My wife drove it to get our daughters and it started to tick. well when i got home i checked the oil and the stick was bone dry. I just had the oil changed about 1000 miles and the motor is rebuilt but not oil leaks on the ground nothing. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks!

 

Have you checked oil since the change, may be a fill error at last change.
Have you checked drain plug to make sure it's in and tight. Years ago my parent's Buick was serviced and oops, plug was not tightened.
Any tell tale smoke from tail pipe?
