gas smell

gas smell
i have an 07 avalanche, sometimes while driving i can smell gas or gas vapor . it only does it once in awhile and only last for a short time . check eng light is not on. any ideas on what can cause this?

This could be the result of a number of things. I would recommend taking the vehicle into your local dealership to be diagnosed. They should be able to assist you further and have a plan for addressing the issue. I can also look into this further for you. In order to do so, I will need some more specific information from you.
