Not starting
So my brother passed away and I am trying to get his 2004 Chevy avalanche to run I put a new starter and battery in it but it still won’t start. My other brother said he had done some wiring to keep it running as long as he did instead of getting the part for it that costed around $60. Does anyone know what it is or where I should look?

As for the vehicle, you need to determine if its and ignition or fuel issue. Since your late brother used a wire its likely an ignition issue. Are you getting spark at the plugs? If you can run some OBD II codes, that would be very helpful to us.
I don’t really see anything that would be missing but I also could be wrong. I can try to take some pictures of the wiring here soon if that will help any @SuperSmooth
Also my other brother said that it was like a $60 part but I haven’t seen anything that it could be when I’ve looked around on websites. I just know that the wiring as far as I can tell is up close to the intake and the drivers side of the truck.
