Default Radio Problem

Hi All, I have a 2008 Avalanche that I just bought with 240,000 KMs. One of the issues I am having is the radio will, sometimes, shut down when I hit a bump but not all the time. When this happens the radio will stay powered up but no sound and none of the buttons will work like it just froze up. Ignition cycling on and off make no difference, not even the next day. What does work is if I disconnect/reconnect the battery, then all is good till next time. Has this happened to others and can anyone suggests an area to look for a solution. Thank

It sure looks that way. A bonus is that the metallic rattle noise coming from behind the dash is also gone.
