Default Rear End Cover

Changed the rear end cover on our 04 Avalanche and the aftermarket one we got from Napa only holds 2 liters of oil whereas the original one held 2 1/2 liters. The question is, would the 2 l. be enough?

if you fill it until it comes out the hole you'll need a little extra

Thanks for the reply Cleveland . . . but herein lies the problem, how do you get that little extra in?

don't overfill it or there is a small chance it could create seal leaks. the 2 liters will be fine but you will require a shorter change interval. most peple change to aftermarket covers that allow a larger volume and provide heat sinks.
