Replacing Factory Nav HELP PLEAS!!!
ok, im new to this forum and i would really appreciate somebodys help. I have a 07 AV with factory nav and bose, and im replacing it with a pioneer z1 i have bought the pac module that retains door chimes and onstar but im not sure what i have to do to replace the amp also, and i want to keep my rear view cam i have looked everywere but no one seems to know how to tap in to it. Can some one help me?? Thank You!!
If you use the right pac module, you can retain the use of the factory amp. Just connect the rca's of the pac module directly to the pre-outs of the z1.
I haven't used a factory cam in an aftermarket unit before, but i don't see why you woulnd't be able to integrate it. If you connect an rca to pin 6(pink +), and pin 7(lt blu -) of connector 4(i believe its brown) then connect the rca to the camera input of the z1 you should be golden. Check the instructions of the module, but i do belive it will give you a VSS signal and also a reverse wire to make the installation go really smooth
