Default RE: RKE Programming

Does the vehilce already have the remote start working? If not, the remotes can be programed but it will not remote start the vehicle.

The vehicle would need to be programed by the dealer al long as it has the proper RPO code (needs to have long range reciever).

When you buy the remote start package you will recieve 2 new remotes along with a authorization code for the remote start software package that needs to be uploaded to your vehicle with a tech 2 and software from TIS 2 WEB.

Programing remotes: go to your DIC (Driver information center). Next to cluster right hand side. Scroll thru the "I" information button until you get to "program remote" then hold the Check symbol. When the dash (cluster) beeps at you, on your remotes, hold both lock and unlock buttonsdepressed until dash (cluster) beeps.

If you want to add a key just turn the ignition cylinder to run with a working key, then remove key. Install unprogramed key and turn cylinder to run for a few seconds, turn off key then start vehicle.

This will help too.see below instructions

2007 Chevrolet Avalanche - 2WD Transmitter Programming
Next Available Slot
Important:

On some vehicles, keyless entry transmitters may also be programmed using the driver information center (DIC). Refer to the vehicle owners manual for information.

Do not operate or program the transmitters in the vicinity of other vehicles that are in the keyless entry program mode. This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle.

The keyless entry transmitter used in the Advance 2 Way Remote Start System is unique to the system. When servicing or replacing a transmitter, ensure that the correct trasmitter is used. The correct transmitter part number can be found in the Accessory section of the parts catalog. Attempting to replace an Advance 2 Way Remote Start transmitter with a regular service part may result in a failure to program the trasmitter.

This procedure will program keyless entry transmitters in sequential order. If two transmitters are currently learned to the vehicle as transmitters1 and 2, using this procedure will learn the next transmitter are transmitter3, and so on.
[ol]With a scan tool, access the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Module Setup menu. Select Program Key Fobs.
Select Next Available Slot. The vehicle chime will sound two times to indicate programming mode has been entered. Follow the on-screen instructions. After each transmitter has been programmed, the vehicle chime will sound to confirm the programming.
When all the desired transmitters have been programmed, cycle the ignition from ON to OFF, exit the vehicle, and operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation. [/ol]
Invalidate All Fobs
Important:

On some vehicles, keyless entry transmitters may also be programmed using the driver information center (DIC). Refer to the vehicle owners manual for information.

All transmitters which are to be recognized by the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) must be programmed in a single programming sequence. Once the Invalidate All Fobs selection is made, all learned transmitters are erased. If all the existing transmitters associated with the vehicle are not learned at this time, they will become inoperative and require additional programming.

This procedure will first erase all known keyless entry transmitters. After all transmitters are erased, the procedure will being to program keyless entry transmitters in sequential order, beginning with transmitter1.
[ol]With a scan tool, access the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Module Setup menu. Select Program Key Fobs.
Select Invalidate All Fobs. This will erase all learned transmitters and prepare the RCDLR to learn new transmitters.
[/ol]
Transmitter Slot Programming - SPO Accessory Advance 2 Way Remote Start System Only
Important:The keyless entry transmitter used in the Advance 2 Way Remote Start System is unique to the system.
Transmitter slot programming allows a single transmitter to be programmed into a specific slot without affecting any of the other programmed transmitters. By using slot programming, the transmitter originally programmed to a specific slot is erased and the new transmitter learned in its placed.
[ol]Install a scan tool.
Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
With the scan tool, select Body.
Select Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR).
Select Module Setup.
Select Program Key Fobs.
Select the key fob desired to be programmed.
Follow the scan tool on screen instructions.
Remove the scan tool.
Exit the vehicle. Operate all functions on transmitters to verify correct system operation. [/ol]

 3. push (or hold)the check button and chime should beep once
 4. hold both lock and unlock buttons at the same time hold until chime beeps twice
 5. then push car with i button again and you remote should lock & unlock
(not sure bout this step)get out of your avalanche push the lock button and then your engine start and engine should start or hold both not sure
