Default 1987 Celebrity. Starts fine, will not stay running

1987 Chevy Celebrity 2.8 v6 Will start but will not stay running. Sometimes it will run for a few minutes, some times just seconds. Has fuel pressure, good gas, filter and pump. Ran fine until previous owers sprayed the engine off at the car wash. I have a list of obvious electrical stuff to replace but where would you start? Thanks for any help.

Welcome from Florida. I would start with the distributor. Take the cap off and check inside for moisture and wear on the cap and rotor.

Yes it does. I checked parts stores online and they have distributors listed.

The 2.8 MFI only has 3 coil packs and an Ignition Control Module, no distributor. I found a part number too but its not for my particular motor. Thanks for the help and time for looking it up!
I finally got the car home today and will be going over every thing I can reach and fit a wrench on.
