'95 corsica external tach wiring?
Hi everyone.
I'm in a situation of confusion here..
I own a 1995 Corsica with the 2.2 4 cylinder engine and I bough a tach just for the heck of it really..Just curious to what the rpm's run at on the car.
Well I have a green wire to which I'm supposed to attach to the negative on the ignition coil but I do not have..or just don't see such a thing on my coil pack so where do I connect this green wire??

I got my hands on a info document that gives some electronically info on quite a bit of cars made from 1975(I believe thats how far it went back..) and it says...(drum roll please)
Tach wire is WHITE at the ignition module at the rear end on the drivers side of the engine OR at the Powertrain control module(PCM) located behind the passenger side of the dash
Now to see if I can find it!
Post back later
So by the sounds of it its the same setup as on an S-10 bc I know the S-10's have the wire behind the dash..

The wire on the pcm is so tight i have no leeway at all so I'm not going to bother with that so I don't mess anything up so that brings up idea two....
I was told to hook it up to the coil for the most accuracy..which means undo-ing two of the engine mounts and lifting the motor forward to get to the dreaded coil bc its in such a screwed up place..possibly tomorrow's project..so much trouble for this blessed thing...
