Default corsica cuts out on throttle

I have a 1992 Corsica with the 3.1L motor in it. The motor starts great and idles well, but whenever I hit the throttle it cuts out and spits and sputters just enough to keep the motor running until I let off the throttle. If I wait for the motor to warm up it starts revving much better. I have tried pushing in the schrader valve on the fuel rail and gas sprays out with decent pressure. I am not sure where to even begin to start looking for an issue, and any help would be appreciated

This can be one of many issues...I would recommend a trip to a shop with a good reputation in the community to diagnose this. Even if you have to pay an hour diagnostic fee, you could throw away much more just guessing....

as I listen to the motor it sort of sounds like a vacuum leak at the back of the motor somewhere. Could something like this cause the symptoms I am describing? This is a figure 8 car, so I am trying to spend as little money as possible and hoping I can diagnose it myself!
