2021 Chevy trailblazer has develop some sort of leak during heavy rains there was literally 2 inches of water standing in the well where my spare sits. Brand. New. Car! Dealership thinks it’s a factory defect and have been instructed by CHEVY to check all kinds of welds and seals In the roof area. They haven’t found it yet. It’s also affecting my entire sound system. Anyone have experience with this?

 

Did you get this resolved? I have had issues with my stereo since i purchased my new Trailblazer a year ago - I told them it sounded like it wasn't working right and kept hearing load pops through the speakers especially when it was raining out, the dealer and my husband thought I was making it up and that it sounded fine. However, I recently got in my rear tire compartment and pulled out my road atlas while planning a trip and it was soaking wet! Surprise surprise my tire compartment was soaking wet after I'd just ran it through the car wash. My husband finally believed me when he saw the speaker under the spare tire - and not of course it wasn't working because all the water had shorted it out! As of yet they cannot find any problems - did your dealer find the source of the leak?

 

What type of leak is coming from your trailblazer?

 

Yes I have the same issue with my trailblazer. Now the stereo has totally stopped.

 

Same issue with me. If it is under factory warranty, the dealership should have to fix it. I'm going in a couple of days and they are going to try and find it. I'll let you know.

 

After a heavy rain, I have 2 inches in the wheel base. Is it covered under a warranty.

@Vitagirl all the warranty details for your vehicle, including what it covers and the period of coverage, should have been included in the documentation that came with your vehicle. It's also available on the web my.gm.com
