Can you drive the car without a CV axle
my neighbor has the 2003 blazer and the lrft front cv is all busted up but he can't afford to get the cv shaft at this time is it possible to take the front drive shaft off and that cv out and drive the car? or is it possible to take the axle apart and shove that borken end back in the diff and drive it? hi is a young pup and just starting out and as you know most of us at that time just did not have lots of money for repairs. so anyway i told him i would ask on this site and see if he might be able to remove the front drive shaft or may just take the axle out for now and either dive it or reave the inner cv and put that back in and drive it until he can get a proper repair. thanks

i found out that you can take the center out and leave the cv in the trans and the hub but he dad showed up and when an got a new one and they changed it out. i told him if he was going to go thru all that trouble to gut the axle out he might as well just change it and so he did with his dads help so now it is done. thanks
