Default Could i drive on ungreased CV?

Was wondering if i could drive on a new ungreased CV joint. i wont be using the 4WD and im pretty sure i cant but i was just wondering. Anyone know?

no.

how do you even get a new un-greased cv shaft? I've never seen a new shaft that wasn't sealed.

Wouldnt reccomend driving on it. May mean the grease boot has a bad seal, or its just a manufacturer defect, either way even a short trip will cause catastophic damage to the cv. Id take it back, and inspect the new one before you leave the store.
