So I have 1993 Blazer Silverado 4wd all the bells and whistles.

But I am looking to do a tranny swap to a manual or a full engine swap with a manual setup.

Has anybody done this or have any info of kits for sale. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I did to a 92 silverado, to make it easy you will need the trans cross member from a manual truck, a pedal set from a manual truck, I also swapped out the steering column from a manual because of the steering lock. You'll also need the clutch master that will match the slave in the transmission, I think the change was in 96, the transmission changed (NV3500) to an internal clutch slave and the shifter changed also. Also the clutch master to slave line, again depending on if its internal/external slave. If you can find one Hurst made a nice shifter for the NV3500 for GM trucks, but I think it was only for the later version. I adapted the Hurst shifter to the older style NV3500 by adding a spacer that I think was around 1/2" thick. You'll have to rework the neutral safety switch and the back up light switch is on the transmission. My best advice is to do as I did and find and buy a manual truck in the same year range and use it as the donor.

 

So if I'm not mistaken they made this body style blazer with a manual. But hard to find for sure. But I could take a silverado and do the swap? They have the same motor and pretty much the same internals for the most part if I'm not mistaken. That would be a lot easier to find. Lol

I'd be willing to bet that if you picked up a 1500 chevy/gmc the parts would swap, I think you find too that on the firewall and on the floor under the carpet that it is already stamped showing where the clutch master and the shifter will mount/come through.

 

IIRC you should have the firewall stamped for the manual parts needed. I know there's a ton of information on the GMT400 forums about this subject, if you google "GMT400.com manual swap" you should come across a ton of answers. Hope this helps!
