Hey all, I have a new Chevy Blazer and recently I connected my phone wirelessly to the Apple car play feature in the infotainment center for maps. Now I still use my bluetooth phone connection for music from my phone but I am constantly nagged by the infotainment center that it's unable to connect to car play.
Car play is turned off on my phone, and I tried twice to tell my phone to forget the car connection, but then I needed to reestablish the bluetooth connection for my music and the message immediately comes back even though I did not enable car play. I am unable to find any method within the car's infotainment center to disable the attempts to connect to car play. Prior to enabling car play for that one time, I never had this message.
I thought disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery for 5 minutes would do the trick but the radio retained its memory.
Any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated.
Try reconnecting your phone to Apple CarPlay, you should get a Consent pop-up on your infotainment screen in which you will be given the option to enable/disable CarPlay. Hit disable.
