My 2017 Bolt just recently started to hesitate when starting from a stop such as at a stop sign. It is almost as if the break is on and then released. It also makes a metallic sound perhaps from driver's front side. It's been to the dealership twice. They are unable to find the cause. It is intermittent which means it will never happen at the dealership. Any ideas? Jay

Since your post, have you found a solution? Please read my post on Transmission Speed Sensor and Wheel Speed Sensor possibly conflictimg??

This could be the problem you are having with vehicle hesitation at start up. Were you driving in Low Gear when Bolt hesitated at start up?
Something GM should address. Dont you agree?

After several months an error code was finally set. This was about 5 years ago so I don't remember the specifics. Essentially there was a loose connection. A major wiring grid was replaced and I have had no problems since. GM fixed this at no charge. To answer your specific questions, this happened when I was in Drive and was not at start up. Usually happened when making a right hand turn. Good luck if you are having any problems. I learned that the Bolt was the car of GM's future, while customer service was the GM of the past.
