Default 1981 5.7L Camaro Z28

I have a 1981 5.7 Liter Z28 Camaro. I am looking to beef it up with horsepower gains and I was also thinking of some sound. I am looking at some flowmaster mufflers and I do not know what size opening to get. They have 2" and 3", do I need a specific one to fit the stock pipes that are in it now, or can I choose either one?
Also, I am looking for a cold air intake to gain more hp. Does anyone know what intake will fit my Camaro? I cannot find it online anywhere. Links would be a great help for both topics.

Thanks

You will have to measure you exhaust pipe to determine size, Im pretty sure that nobody has a CAI for that car but K&N should have a high flow filter for it. Welcome to the forum

if you have the 5.7TPI then you should be able to find cold air kits for it, if you have the 5.7TBI i can guarantee that you wont

1981 would not be fuel injected, assuming it's the stock motor, or a fuel injection conversion has not been done. horsepower can be gained a million different ways, from CAI's to performance carb, dual exhaust, high energy ignition, bigger cam, better pistons, boring cylinders, aluminum heads, etc etc. it all depends on how much money you want to spend and how much you want to do.

To Maxxman04,

Do you know where I can purchase a CAI for the camaro.
Also, do you know where I can buy a full exhaust for it?
