My third gen (I sold my 2nd), reached a temp of 235 on the highway, would go down to 220-227 but would get up again to 235. For most of and hour it was around 230. I have heard many opinions. I have not started the car (it started fine right after I lost a tire, the loss of the tire caused no body or engine damage but I became paranoid because of the temp.) The car was towed and I have not started it since that day. I was told that anything under 240 is fine and dandy, but the car now leaks oil and tranny fluid, lost oil, and the oil is very very dark, but without coolant in it. I know 305's can overheat and survive sometimes but I just want a straight answer. Any help is appreciated.
