Default 4th gen Radiator swap. ?

Radiator swap.
How to remove an replace coolant temp sensor on 99 TA.

Recently purchased new radiator apparently I’ll have to remove this square sensor from old rad. an replace this sensor onto new rad. Exactly how is this square plastic piece removed an replaced?
Like is it screwed on or just pushed on. I certainly don’t want to break it. Please advice an Thanks

That square sensor is the fan switch. It is threaded into the radiator tank just like a bolt. It screws in and out.
You simply unscrew it from the old radiator. Be careful not to twist the wires. Then screw it into the same port on the new radiator. Do not over-tighten it, as it's going into plastic. Snug is fine.
Use a little Teflon tape or pipe sealant on the threads when you install it in the new radiator to prevent leaks.

this replacement rad. seams real flimsy right at where the fan sensor is. it feels like if I pry up on the retaining clips it would crack the port. I believe this rad is designed for the 02 models which didn't have this sensor at rad.

OK I see the clip looks like he pressed downward to remove the clip then it just pops off on it's own?
