Default 89 camaro rs fuel problems i think?

Hello all i am new here so i hope i am doing this correctly but i will get right to the point i have a 89 camaro rs with 305 tbi the fuel pump recently quit so i thought. you couldnt here itcome on when you turn key to on and the car would not start, well after new pump car would start but will die immediately unless i pump the gas pedal if i let off it would die so i changed the fuel pump relay and still same problem im kind of lost i have been reading online and am thinking maybe the oil pressure sending unit but i just dont want to replace something else that wont help the problem any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you

You might want to check for vacuum leaks or aclogged fuel filter maybe. You could also look into it possibly just beinga filthy throttle body. Pull the air cleaner off and look in the throttle body to see if it's all black and sooty - that means it could use a cleaning which is a good idea to do, but may not necessarily fix the problem.

Hope this helps.
