I have a 94 Camaro 5.7L, everytime I start it, and the Temperature rises till full hot, the engine will lag horsepower, I dont why but it just does.. I was thinking if change the Distributor maybe that would fix my Camaro..
Can anyone help me????????

how many km? if lots has the cam or timing chain ever been changed? check the compression in the cylinders, also have you done a tune up to it? i would check these things before buying a new distributor, but if it has over 250k miles a new distributor may be in order, but check the simple free things first

OK, one more reply....just realized these were all from you.

The code 43 is for a knock sensor circuit malfunction. The knock sensor is used to control ignition timing. With a knock sensor malfunction, the PCM is retarding ignition timing way too far, which will cause a lack of power, and will likely cause overheating as well.

Diagnose the DTC 43 and your low power issues should be alleviated.
