Allow me to give a quick update to my situation:

Car was running fine and then died. Changed out the battery, then the alternator and it ran for a few days, then it died again. Changed out fuel filter and fuel pump and jumped to get it started and it started fine, but because battery was dead again I had to change out battery and now without jump start and fully charged battery it will not start. It will turn over and makes a kind of hissing sound. Also, the air bag light is on and the horn honks involuntarily... does this have anything to do with my problem? I've been reading up in different manuals and can't quite pin point the problem. If anyone has any suggestion or idea I'd be very grateful.

You might check for codes?

Check the basics, if the vehicle cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs and injector pulse. What you do next depends on what the testing showed.

 

If you don't have a scanner to check for codes, most autopart stores like Autozone, etc will do it for free. Was the air bag lite on after the jump start? The jump may have zapped something. []
