got a block from a friend would like to know what it is and where it came from?

i assume the 10 78
means oct 78

i dunno i could be wrong

but that first line means its a 305 most likely a camaro from the website i read

 

GM means general motors, 460777 is your casting number, and 10 78 is oct 78

 

305 78-79 2 bolt main. if you need to know the car it came from call a chevy dealer. they are very helpful!
