1991 caprice classic alternator not charging
Hello,
I have a 1991 v8 305 from a caprice classic in a pickup truck. The alternator is not charging. I have no voltage coming to the pulse side of the alternator. I have the 12v from the battery.
I am guessing the pulse side should get 12v from the voltage regulator. Is this correct?
I basically have the harness and computer hooked up on the left side of the engine and on the right I put all the accessories from the truck.
Am I better off trying to convert the alternator to a one wire setup? I saw a couple online posts that told you how to do it, but forget where.
Thanks for any troubleshooting or other help.
